PINK & BLUE ANNUAL CHARITY EVENT
SUNDAY 14 FEBRUARY 2027
The Pink & Blue Swim, Walk, Run is a non-competitive event, offering a choice of 5 separate activities:
- 200m Swim
- 500m Swim
- 1km Swim
- 2km Walk
- 6km Run
The aim of the event is to raise awareness within our community of both Breast and Prostate Cancer. Proceeds raised are divided equally to our beneficiaries, St Andrew’s Hospital Foundation Breast Care Unit and the Prostate Cancer Foundation Australia (PCFA).

Registrations for the 2027 Walk, Run or Swim Pink & Blue event will open in November 2026.
YOUR SUPPORT DIRECTLY supports breast & prostate care and RESEARCH
100% of net proceeds are equally distributed between our Breast and Prostate Cancer beneficiaries. Proceeds raised have gone towards:
- delivery of the PCFA EVOLUTION Phase II Clinical Trial in at the Royal Adelaide Hospital
- purchase of a Gamma Probe, to assist breast surgeons during biopsies
- establishing a Breast Cancer Patient Lounge for comfort and support at St Andrews
- a Treatment Room at St Andrews providing counselling and wound care
- funding towards a dedicated Breast Care Nurse at St Andrews

THE PINK & BLUE STORY
Originally known as the Pink Swim, the event began at West Beach SLSC in 2013 after several club members had been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. That first event brought together 80 swimmers and sparked something much bigger.
In 2017, it was decided to combine a focus on Prostate Cancer, so blue joined pink, expanding the cause to support both Breast and Prostate Cancer care and research.
The walk and later the run were introduced, welcoming the whole community to take part — including our four-legged friends
Led by a passionate team of West Beach SLSC volunteers, what started with 80 swimmers has grown into a community movement, bringing together more than 11,500 participants, raising awareness and donating over $890,000.

ANDREW URSINI CHARITABLE FUND
The Andrew Ursini Charitable Fund has proudly supported Pink & Blue for more than six years.
Established by GPA Engineering in 2011 in memory of former Director Andrew Ursini, who sadly passed away from a rare form of cancer in 2010, the Fund continues Andrew’s legacy by giving back to the community. Through the Fund, GPA Engineering and its employees generously contribute to support causes that make a difference.
We are incredibly grateful that Pink & Blue is one of those causes. Their ongoing support helps us continue raising awareness and supporting Breast and Prostate Cancer care and research.
